Philip Trahanas

Philip Trahanas is a private investor with over 25 years of experience in the financial world spanning operations, investment banking and private equity roles. Philip spent 15 years at General Atlantic, a global growth equity platform. As a Managing Director, his core focus entailed direct investment in growth companies around the world and membership on the Investment Committee and Portfolio Committee. During his tenure at General Atlantic, Philip worked across a spectrum of industries and investment types, including business services, outsourcing, software, applied technology, real estate and telecom/internet.

Before General Atlantic, Philip worked within Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking division, including roles on the High Technology Corporate Finance team, the Merger and Acquisition group and as a member of the division's operating management team. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Philip was an electrical engineer at General Electric, where he specialized in communication equipment and semiconductor design.

Philip holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. He attended the University of Pennsylvania for his advanced studies and received an MBA from the Wharton School, where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar, and an M.S. in Engineering from the Moore School of Engineering. Philip has held a multitude of board seats over time for public and private companies as well as philanthropic institutions globally.
